Imagine that you have children who use Facebook chat regularly. You may want to monitor their chat sessions and view to whom they are talking to. Thus, you will be able to protect your children from users who are at the other end of the screen. A program which allows you to intercept and monitor Facebook chat sessions is FacebookLog.

This Windows application uses WinPcap to intercept, analyze and decrypt packets which pass through the network adapter and display Facebook chat sessions in plain text. During the installation of the application, the user will be asked if he wants to have WinPcap installed, in case the program is not present on the user's system. After the program is installed and launched, the user is presented with an intuitive and practical interface which allows him to easily view Facebook conversations in real-time.

At any moment, the user will be able to export a conversation to a text or HTML file, for analyzing it later on. Besides that, the saved file can be imported into FacebookLog later on. What's more, FacebookLog allows automatically uploading the conversations through email or FTP, so that the user will be able to see them, even if he is not in front of the affected computer.

Moreover, by accessing the options area of the application, one will be able to configure the IP addresses which are being monitored by FacebookLog.
